I love little details and memory-trigging items in I love little details and memory-trigging items in home decor. We got these beautiful handwoven baskets from my partner James’ parents a few years ago and we love that they’re functional (we keep tea lights in there!), beautiful, and hold a memory for us. The rest is thrifted (minus the ceramic vase, that’s @realcanadiansuperstore believe it or not 😅)! Have you ever experienced the thrill of the thrift hunt? 😂 it’s actually amazing how fulfilling it can feel getting that retail therapy fix in, finding items that feel one of a kind, or at least that you’re giving a second (or third, fourth) home to. Can’t wait to get back into it when the pandemic is over since I’ve been avoiding so many stores 🙈. Daisy and I have been trying to keep active as muc Daisy and I have been trying to keep active as much as possible this holiday break - even though I started the days before Christmas absolutely burned out, incorporating movement daily (or as close to daily as possible 😅) has been invaluable. While I haven’t been moving my body EVERY single day, I’m trying to get working on moving my mind, too. Being kind to my mind sometimes means not moving it all that much: working in things like meditation or intention setting (low effort but high value). Had the Sephora VIB membership and all, and couldn’t get enough of samples and new products. Yes, this shelf is my routine simplified 🙈 Some of this self care includes my hair! Since going all natural and curly 3 years ago, @earthtonesnaturals have really upped my hair game.
